Ra-One Upcoming Shahrukh Khan Movie

Ra-One is an upcoming 2011 Hindi science fiction superhero film written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, and starring Shahrukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal in the lead roles. It also stars Shahana Goswami, Dalip Tahil and Chinese-American actor Tom Wu in supporting roles, along with Rajinikanth, Sanjay Dutt and Priyanka Chopra making guest appearances. The film is jointly produced by Eros International and Khan's production company, Red Chillies Entertainment,and was 





originally scheduled to release on June 3, 2011. However, due to extensive post-production work involving special effects and the 3D conversion, its release was postponed, and is now set to have a worldwide opening during the Diwali weekend of October 26, 2011. Ra-One is currently India's most expensive film to date and will be released in both 2D and 3D formats across over 3,500 screens worldwide in 2D and around 550 screens in 3D,along with its dubbed versions in Tamil, Telugu and German.

There was rife on the release date of Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor starrer Ra-One It was reported yesterday that this sci-fi movie would hit the theaters on 3rd June, 2011. But now, SRK has clarified the matter on his Twitter page.

Shahrukh, who is playing a superhero in the movie for the first time, has posted on his twitter page that the release date of Ra-One has not been decided. The media reports on 31st August suggested that SRK, who is also the producer of the movie, is going to release it next year on 3rd June.

Denying the reports, SRK said ironically that it is nice to know that someone has already fixed the release date of Ra-One because he is not aware of any such declaration. The superstar added that may be the person, who has spread this rumour, can go ahead and finish the movie. He further said that the release date of the movie would be announced after discussing with the office guys, which should be sometime around June next year of course.

Shahrukh Khan’s Ra One will release on October 26th 2011. The film was first scheduled to be released in the month of June, but was postponed later due to the massive post-production work involved. As we reported yesterday, the final-cut of Ra One is now complete and SRK and Anubhav Sinha (director) are currently working out the promotional strategies for the sci-fi thriller.

Well, even if the exact date is not announced, the supposed time of release seems to stand somewhere close to the rumored time frame!
